In the picture to the right,
smoke can be seen billowing from the entire roof.
This is the same house in both
the picture above and below.

McCalmont Township's Tanker 16 is seen here filling a portable tank.
Elk Run's Engine 30-1 is then providing firefighters and Engine 30-2 with water to battle
the blaze.

Members from the Lindsey Fire Company man Squad 42.
They await orders to refill the firefighters' breathing apparatus.
Lindsey's Squad 42 houses the Rescue Air System for
southern Jefferson County while Reynoldsville's Rescue 6 is used in northern Jefferson
County.
The Rescue Air System, commonly referred to as the Cascade System, is used to refill air
tanks with compressed air. Oxygen is not used in the air tanks, as oxygen is flammable and
would not be welcome in the confines of a burning structure.
Squad 42 is also used by the Punxsy Water Rescue Team to refill its SCUBA tanks.

Elk Run's Engine 30-2 is providing water to firefighters as they attempt to extinguish the
flames.
Water is being provided by a tanker shuttle,
as seen in the photo to the left.
